Features of Aqauprufe Textured Geomembranes
Textured geomembranes have one or two rough surfaces and are commonly used in steep areas and projects with soil covering after geomembrane installation. Friction is generated between the rough surface and underlayer or covering soil, keeping the whole system from sliding.
Aquaprufe rough geomembranes are made of HDPE and are produced by the same machine as smooth finish geomembranes, with blown-film, four-layer co-extrusion. Nitrogen gas is added to molten PE and distributes the flocculent PE to create roughness. One advantage is that our textured geomembranes are monolithically formed from a one-step process, showing better asperity adhesion, overall stability, and durability than those produced from a two-step spray-on process. Another advantage is that we can make the overlap seam (10cm in width usually) smooth surface for each roll of textured geomembrane, to enhance welding efficiency. Moreover, the asperity height of our textured geomembranes can be adjusted by the computer on the production line, catering to different usage requirements.
